Jeremiah 50:37-39
New Life Version

37 A sword is against her horses and war-wagons, and against all the soldiers from other lands who are with her! They will become like women! A sword is against her riches, and they will be taken! 38 A time of no rain and her waters will be dried up! For it is a land of false gods. They are wild over false gods. 39 So the desert animals will live there together with the wild dogs. And ostriches also will live in it. Never again will people live there.

New International Version

37 A sword against her horses and chariots(A)
    and all the foreigners in her ranks!
    They will become weaklings.(B)
A sword against her treasures!(C)
    They will be plundered.
38 A drought on[a] her waters!(D)
    They will dry(E) up.
For it is a land of idols,(F)
    idols that will go mad with terror.

39 “So desert creatures(G) and hyenas will live there,
    and there the owl will dwell.
It will never again be inhabited
    or lived in from generation to generation.(H)
