31 A post shall run to meet the post, and a messenger to meet the messenger, to show the King of Babel, that his city is taken on a [a]side thereof,

32 And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds burnt with fire, and the men of war troubled.

33 For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, The daughter of Babel is like a threshingfloor: the time of her threshing is come: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest [b]shall come.
