¹⁴ They have treated My people’s brokenness superficially,
claiming, “Peace, peace,”^(A)
when there is no peace.

¹¹ They have treated superficially the brokenness
of My dear^[a] people,
claiming, ‘Peace, peace,’
when there is no peace.

⁵ This is what the Lord says
concerning the prophets
who lead my people astray,^(A)
who proclaim^(B) peace
when they have food to sink their teeth into
but declare war against the one
who puts nothing in their mouths.
