Jeremiah 20:6-8

⁷ O Lord, ^(C)you have deceived me,
    and I was deceived;
^(D)you are stronger than I,
    and you have prevailed.
^(E)I have become a laughingstock all the day;
    everyone mocks me.
⁸ For whenever I speak, I cry out,
    I shout, ^(F)“Violence and destruction!”
For ^(G)the word of the Lord has become for me
    ^(H)a reproach and ^(I)derision all day long.
