Job 2:5-7

⁵So now cause Job to have great pain in his own body. Then he will certainly curse you very strongly.’

⁶So the Lord said to Satan, ‘I agree to give you power over Job himself. But you must not cause his death.’

⁷So Satan went away. He caused Job to have boils all over his body. They hurt him everywhere, from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.

Job 2:5-7

⁵But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones,^(A) and he will surely curse you to your face.”^(B)

⁶The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands;^(C) but you must spare his life.”^(D)

⁷So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.^(E)
