20 They shall die suddenly, [a]and the people shall be troubled at midnight, [b]and they shall pass forth and take away the mighty without hand.

21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

22 There is no darkness nor shadow of death, that the workers of iniquity might be hid therein.

    the people are shaken and they pass away;
    the mighty are removed without human hand.(B)

21 “His eyes are on the ways of mortals;(C)
    he sees their every step.(D)
22 There is no deep shadow,(E) no utter darkness,(F)
    where evildoers can hide.(G)
