John 11:7-10

King James Version

⁷Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

⁸His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

⁹Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

¹⁰But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

⁷and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”^(A)

⁸“But Rabbi,”^(B) they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you,^(C) and yet you are going back?”

⁹Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light.^(D) ¹⁰It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”
