John 10:17-19
World English Bible

17 Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, Isaiah 53:7-8 that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father.”

19 Therefore a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.

17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life(A)—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.(B) I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”(C)

19 The Jews who heard these words were again divided.(D)
