4 arose from supper and laid aside his upper garments, and took a towel and girded himself. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
6 Then he came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him, Lord, shall you wash my feet?

4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.(A) 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet,(B) drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
