¹² Very truly I tell you, whoever believes^(A) in me will do the works I have been doing,^(B) and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

²⁸ “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’^(A) If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,^(B) for the Father is greater than I.^(C)

⁵ but now I am going to him who sent me.^(A) None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’^(B)

¹⁰ about righteousness,^(A) because I am going to the Father,^(B) where you can see me no longer;

¹⁷ At this, some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying, ‘In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me,’^(A) and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”^(B)

²⁸ I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”^(A)

¹⁷ Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers^(A) and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father^(B) and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
