12 (A)While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have (B)guarded them, and (C)not one of them has been lost except (D)the son of destruction, (E)that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now (F)I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have (G)my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 (H)I have given them your word, and (I)the world has hated them (J)because they are not of the world, (K)just as I am not of the world.

12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[a] that name you gave me. None has been lost(A) except the one doomed to destruction(B) so that Scripture would be fulfilled.(C)
13 “I am coming to you now,(D) but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy(E) within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them,(F) for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.(G)
