John 19:26-28
Contemporary English Version
26 When Jesus saw his mother and his favorite disciple with her, he said to his mother, “This man is now your son.” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “She is now your mother.” From then on, that disciple took her into his own home.

26 When Jesus saw his mother(A) there, and the disciple whom he loved(B) standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman,[a] here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished,(D) and so that Scripture would be fulfilled,(E) Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”
