36 For these things took place (A)so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: “(B)Not a bone of Him shall be [a]broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “(C)They will look at Him whom they pierced.”

38 Now (D)after these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but a (E)secret one for (F)fear of the [b]Jews, requested of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body.
