John 19:36-38

36-37 The soldiers did this in fulfillment of the Scripture that says, “Not one of his bones shall be broken,” and, “They shall look on him whom they pierced.”
38 Afterwards Joseph of Arimathea, who had been a secret disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jewish leaders, boldly asked Pilate for permission to take Jesus’ body down; and Pilate told him to go ahead. So he came and took it away.

New International Version
36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled:(A) “Not one of his bones will be broken,”[a](B) 37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”[b](C)
The Burial of Jesus(D)
38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders.(E) With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.
