4 Pilate went outside again and said to them, “Look, I’m bringing Him outside to you to let you know I find no grounds(A) for charging Him.”
Pilate Sentences Jesus to Death
5 Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.(B) Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”(C)
6 When the chief priests and the temple police saw Him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”
Pilate responded, “Take Him and crucify Him yourselves, for I find no grounds for charging Him.”

4 Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews gathered there, “Look, I am bringing him out(A) to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”(B) 5 When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe,(C) Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”
6 As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”
But Pilate answered, “You take him and crucify him.(D) As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”(E)
