14 This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

15 So when they had broken their fast, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of [a]John, [b]lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I [c]love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again a second time, Simon, son of [d]John, [e]lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I [f]love thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep.

Jesus Reinstates Peter

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”(B)

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”(C)

16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”(D)
