John 21:23-25
Easy-to-Read Version
23 So a story spread among the followers of Jesus. They were saying that this follower would not die. But Jesus did not say he would not die. He only said, “Maybe I want him to live until I come. That should not matter to you.”
24 That follower is the one who is telling these things. He is the one who has now written them all down. We know that what he says is true.
25 There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I think the whole world would not be big enough for all the books that would be written.

John 21:23-25
New International Version
23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(A) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(B) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(C)
25 Jesus did many other things as well.(D) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
