John 21:23-25
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition
23 So the rumor spread among the brothers and sisters that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”[a](A)
24 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true.(B) 25 But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.(C)

John 21:23-25
New International Version
23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(A) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(B) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(C)
25 Jesus did many other things as well.(D) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
