2 This man came to Jesus[a] (A)by night and said to him, (B)“Rabbi, (C)we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do (D)unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is (E)born (F)again[b] he cannot (G)see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?”

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”(E)
4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
