²⁵ The woman *said to Him, “I know that ^(A)Messiah is coming (^(B)He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.”

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you ^(A)lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that ^[a](B)I am, and ^(C)I do nothing ^[b]on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.

^49 (A)For I did not speak ^[a]on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me ^(B)has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. ⁵⁰ And I know that ^(C)His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak ^(D)just as the Father has told Me.”
