John 5:18-20
New Matthew Bible
18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, not only because he had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, and made himself equal with God.
19 Then Jesus said to them, Truly truly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but that which he sees the Father do. For whatsoever he does, that the Son does also. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all things, whatever he himself does. And he will show him greater works than these, because you should marvel.

18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him;(A) not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.(B)
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;(C) he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son(D) and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these,(E) so that you will be amazed.
