³⁹ He said this about the Spirit.^(A) Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit,^(B) for the Spirit^[a] had not yet been received^[b][c] because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

¹⁶ For He had not yet come down on^[a] any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.^(A)
