20 But you did not (A)learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you (B)have heard Him and have (C)been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to (D)rid yourselves of the (E)old [a]self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the (F)lusts of deceit, 23 and that you are to be (G)renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to (H)put on the (I)new [b]self, which [c](J)in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

25 Therefore, (K)ridding yourselves of falsehood, (L)speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, because we are (M)parts of one another. 26 (N)Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not (O)give the devil [d]an opportunity. 28 The one who steals must no longer steal; but rather (P)he must labor, (Q)producing with his own hands what is good, (R)so that he will have something to share with the one who has need. 29 Let no [e](S)unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for (T)edification [f]according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 (U)Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, [g]by whom you were (V)sealed for the day of redemption. 31 (W)All bitterness, wrath, anger, [h]clamor, and slander must be (X)removed from you, along with all (Y)malice. 32 (Z)Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, (AA)just as God in Christ also has forgiven [i]you.

20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off(A) your old self,(B) which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;(C) 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;(D) 24 and to put on(E) the new self,(F) created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.(G)

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully(H) to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.(I) 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]:(J) Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.(K) 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work,(L) doing something useful with their own hands,(M) that they may have something to share with those in need.(N)

29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,(O) but only what is helpful for building others up(P) according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,(Q) with whom you were sealed(R) for the day of redemption.(S) 31 Get rid of(T) all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.(U) 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another,(V) forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.(W)
