John 9:39-41
New Testament for Everyone
39 “I came into the world for judgment,” said Jesus, “so that those who can’t see would see, and so that those who can see would become blind.”
40 Some of the Pharisees were nearby, and they heard this.
“So!” they said. “We’re blind too, are we?”
41 “If you were blind,” replied Jesus, “you wouldn’t be guilty of sin. But now, because you say, ‘We can see,’ your sin remains.”

39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment(A) I have come into this world,(B) so that the blind will see(C) and those who see will become blind.”(D)
40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”(E)
41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.(F)
