³ Therefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent word ^(A)to Hoham king of Hebron and to Piram king of Jarmuth and to Japhia king of Lachish and to Debir king of Eglon, saying,

⁵ So the five kings of ^(A)the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon, gathered together and went up, they with all their armies, and camped by Gibeon and fought against it.

¹⁹ And they conspired against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to ^(A)Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish and put him to death there.

¹⁴ Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “^(A)I have done wrong. Turn away from me; whatever penalty you give to me I will bear.” So the king of Assyria set a penalty on Hezekiah king of Judah ^[a]three hundred talents of silver and ^[b]thirty talents of gold.

² And the ^(A)king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem to King Hezekiah with a heavy military force. And he stood by the ^(B)conduit of the upper pool on the highway of the ^[a]fuller’s field.
