Joshua 2:18-20
New American Bible (Revised Edition)
18 when we come into the land, you tie this scarlet cord in the window through which you are letting us down. Gather your father and mother, your brothers, and all your family into your house. 19 Should any of them pass outside the doors of your house, their blood will be on their own heads, and we will be guiltless. But if anyone in your house is harmed, their blood will be on our heads. 20 If, however, you betray our mission, we will be free of the oath you have made us take.”

New International Version
18 unless, when we enter the land, you have tied this scarlet cord(A) in the window(B) through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother, your brothers and all your family(C) into your house. 19 If any of them go outside your house into the street, their blood will be on their own heads;(D) we will not be responsible. As for those who are in the house with you, their blood will be on our head(E) if a hand is laid on them. 20 But if you tell what we are doing, we will be released from the oath you made us swear.(F)”
