14 (A)And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. So He (B)delivered them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them; and (C)He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they (D)could no longer stand before their enemies. 15 Wherever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for calamity, as the Lord had said, and as the Lord had (E)sworn to them. And they were greatly distressed.

16 Nevertheless, (F)the Lord raised up judges who delivered them out of the hand of those who plundered them.

He sold them(D) into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.(E) 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the Lord was against them(F) to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them.
