9 (A)He was buried in his own part of the land at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim north of Mount Gaash. 10 That whole generation also died, and the next generation forgot the Lord and what he had done for Israel.

11 Then the people of Israel sinned against the Lord and began to serve the Baals.

9 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Heres[a](A) in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.(B) 11 Then the Israelites did evil(C) in the eyes of the Lord(D) and served the Baals.(E)
