9 So they buried him within the bounds of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. 10 Moreover, that whole generation was gathered to their ancestors, and another generation grew up after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.(A)

9 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Heres[a](A) in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.(B) 11 Then the Israelites did evil(C) in the eyes of the Lord(D) and served the Baals.(E)
