⁶ All the ^[a]leaders of Shechem and all ^[b]Beth-millo assembled together, and they went and made Abimelech king, by the ^[c]oak of the memorial stone which was in Shechem.

⁹ So David lived in the stronghold, and called it ^(A)the city of David. And David built all around from the ^[a](B)Millo and inward.

²⁷ Now this was the reason why he ^[a]rebelled against the king: ^(A)Solomon built the ^[b]Millo, and closed up the breach of the city of his father David.
