⁴⁴ For ^(A)I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and ^(B)be holy, because I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth. ^45 (C)For I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; so ^(D)you shall be holy, because I am holy.’”

⁹ So ^(A)David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”

² “But who can ^(A)endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a ^(B)refiner’s fire, and like launderer’s soap.

¹⁷ for ^(A)the great day of Their wrath has come, and ^(B)who is able to stand?”
