³⁸And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

²²He despairs of escaping the realm of darkness;^(A)
he is marked for the sword.^(B)

²²He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

²²He does not believe that he will ^(A)return from darkness,
For a sword is waiting for him.
