⁸ Five^(A) of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.^(B)

²⁵ The Lord will cause you to be defeated^(A) before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven,^(B) and you will become a thing of horror^(C) to all the kingdoms on earth.^(D)

¹⁰ One of you routs a thousand,^(A) because the Lord your God fights for you,^(B) just as he promised.
