³⁹Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”^(A)

⁴⁰And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

⁴⁰“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”^(A)
