⁴²Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

⁴²“Father, if you are willing, take this cup^(A) from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”^(B)

¹⁴And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

¹⁴This is the confidence^(A) we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.^(B)

¹⁵And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

¹⁵And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know^(A) that we have what we asked of him.^(B)
