11 The Pharisee was standing(A) and praying like this about himself: [a] ‘God, I thank you that I’m not like other people—greedy,(B) unrighteous,(C) adulterers,(D) or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast(E) twice a week; I give a tenth[b](F) of everything I get.’
13 “But the tax collector, standing far off,(G) would not even raise his eyes to heaven(H) but kept striking his chest(I) and saying, ‘God, have mercy on me,[c](J) a sinner!’ (K)

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast(D) and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’(E)
