New Matthew Bible
3 And every man went to his own town to be taxed. 4 And Joseph also ascended from Galilee out of a town called Nazareth, into Judea to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, who was with child.

3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem(A) the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him(B) and was expecting a child.
