³⁹ And one of the evil-doers who hung there railed on him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us. ⁴⁰ But the other answered and rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, seeing that you are under the same sentence? ⁴¹ We are rightly punished, for we receive according to our deeds, but this man has done nothing amiss.
