12 But (A)Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw (B)the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marvelling at what had happened.

13 That very day (C)two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem, 14 and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened.

12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves,(A) and he went away,(B) wondering to himself what had happened.
