3 [a]Then the devil said unto him, If thou be the son of God, command this stone, that it be made bread.
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, (A)That man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.
5 Then the devil took him up into an high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, in the twinkling of an eye.

5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.(C)
