GOD’S WORD Translation
44 Whoever wants to be most important among you will be a slave for everyone. 45 It’s the same way with the Son of Man. He didn’t come so that others could serve him. He came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people.”
Jesus Gives Sight to Bartimaeus(A)
46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus, his disciples, and many people were leaving Jericho, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road.

44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,(A) and to give his life as a ransom for many.”(B)
Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight(C)
46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging.
