19 (A)For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. 20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
21 (B)“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it. 22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and (C)wonders to deceive, if possible, even the [a]elect. 23 But (D)take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
The Coming of the Son of Man(E)
24 (F)“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be (G)shaken. 26 (H)Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His [b]elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.

19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world,(A) until now—and never to be equaled again.(B)
20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. 21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.(C) 22 For false messiahs and false prophets(D) will appear and perform signs and wonders(E) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 23 So be on your guard;(F) I have told you everything ahead of time.
24 “But in those days, following that distress,
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
25 the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[a](G)
26 “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds(H) with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.(I)
