18 they will pick up snakes;[a](A) if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm(B) them; they will lay hands on(C) the sick, and they will get well.”

19 Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus(D) was taken up into heaven(E) and sat down at the right hand(F) of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.][b]

19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven(C) and he sat at the right hand of God.(D) 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs(E) that accompanied it.
