⁵² because they had not understood about the loaves. Instead, their hearts were hardened.^(A)

¹⁸ So then, He shows mercy to those He wants to, and He hardens those He wants to harden.^(A)

²⁵ So that you will not be conceited,^(A) brothers, I do not want you to be unaware^(B) of this mystery:^(C) A partial hardening has come to Israel^(D) until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.^(E)

A Ministry of Life or Death

¹⁴ But thanks be to God,^(A) who always puts us on display^[a] in Christ^[b] and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.^(B)
