Mark 7:5-7

⁵So the Pharisees^(A) and the scribes^(B) asked him, “Why don’t your disciples live^[a] according to the tradition of the elders,^(C) instead of eating bread with ceremonially unclean^[b] hands?”

⁶He answered them, “Isaiah^(D) prophesied^(E) correctly about you hypocrites,^(F) as it is written: ^(G)

This people honors^(H) me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me.
⁷They worship me in vain,
teaching^(I) as doctrines^(J) human commands.^[c]^(K)
