18 So I will call you Peter, which means “a rock.” On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it. 19 (A) I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth. But he will not allow anything you don't allow.
20 Jesus told his disciples not to tell anyone he was the Messiah.

18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[a](A) and on this rock I will build my church,(B) and the gates of Hades[b] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys(C) of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[c] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[d] loosed in heaven.”(D) 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone(E) that he was the Messiah.
