³⁸Look, your house is left to you desolate.^(A)

²⁰“For it is written in the book of Psalms,

‘Let his house become desolate,
and let there be no one to live in it’;

and

‘Let another take his position of overseer.’^(A)

²⁰“For,” said Peter, “it is written in the Book of Psalms:

“‘May his place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in it,’^[a]^(A)
