33 So also you— when you see all[a] these things, you know[b] that He[c] is near, at the doors. 34 Truly I say to you that this[d] generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by-no-means pass away.

Others think ‘this generation’ refers to unbelieving Israel (as often in the Gospels). Such persons will continue until He returns.
