⁴⁹ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.^(A)

⁴⁵ But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk.

¹⁵ These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!^(A)

²¹ for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers.^(A) As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.

¹⁸ Do not get drunk on wine,^(A) which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,^(B)
