²⁹ Now ^(A)if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, ^[a]than for your whole body to be thrown into ^[b](B)hell.

⁵⁷ And they took ^(A)offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “^(B)A prophet is not dishonored except in his ^[a]hometown and in his own household.”

¹⁰ And at that time many will ^[a](A)fall away, and they will ^[b]betray one another and hate one another.

³¹ Then Jesus *said to them, “You will all ^[a](A)fall away because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘^(B)I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be ^(C)scattered.’

³ Is this not ^(A)the carpenter, ^(B)the son of Mary and brother of ^[a]James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are ^(C)His sisters not here with us?” And they took ^(D)offense at Him.
